Dayan Raphael Evers

Rabbi Raphael Evers (Amsterdam, 1954) is a Dutch Rabbi.

Since 1990 is Rabbi Evers connected to the United Dutch synagogues (NIK) as its Rabbi. In addition is Rabbi Evers the headmaster/rector of the Beth Midrash binyan Ariel (school for teachers and rabbis). Rabbi Evers is also the face of the Dutch Jewish population on public affairs; when issues are discussed on Judaism, anti-Semitism or anti-Israel. Rabbi Evers reacts with press-releases, radio-interviews and TV interviews and has refelected and reflects so many times the point of view of the Dutch Jewry.

EDUCATION

Rabbi Evers finished to academical degrees in Psychology and tax law.
Rabbi Evers received his first rabbinical degree in 1989 and since then he recieved many rabbinical degrees from rabbis such as the former Dutch chief-Rabbi Meir Just, the Israeli chief-Rabbinat (Rabbi Shapira and Rabbi Eliyahu), Rabbi Nechemja Zalman Goldberg, rabbi Moshe Halberstam (from Tzanz-Tschakave) ans Rabbi Meir Brandsdorfer (of Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok), two chief-rabbis of the Eda HaChareidis.

PUBLICATIONS

Rabbi Evers has published a lot on rabbinical subjects in Dutch and Hebrew. Besides that he writes regularly for newspapers and magazines and publishes educational material for primary, higher and academical education. He also regularly represents the Jewish point of view on many subjects in radio and television-broadcasting. Besides all this he also publishes a weekly Tora-thought in the Jewish communities in the Netherlands
